KBUMP rigging points
Up to 21 KUDO
®
can be flown as a vertical line source array using the KBUMP rigging structure. The hole numbering
convention for KBUMP is shown in Figure 40.
Note:
KBUMP should be installed with the serial number tag oriented towards the rear of the array.
Figure 40
: KBUMP hole numbering convention
Single-point hang can be performed off the central bar using holes from 1 to 12.
Dual-point unbridled hang can be performed off the side bars using holes from 1 to 12 (point spacing is
823 mm / 32.4 in.) or off the central bar using holes 0 and 13 (point spacing is 900 mm / 35.4 in.).
For large arrays it is recommended to use two bridled-point hangs from the side bars using holes 0 and 13 (point
spacing is 900 mm / 35.4 in.).
The security coefficient depends on the exact manner in which the system is flown. On figure below,
the single-point
hang has Ultimate Strength Safety Factor greater than 4:1 for up to 21 KUDO
®
. All other options have Ultimate
Strength Safety Factors greater than 6:1.
