4. Stake the tent to the ground in the desired

location, making sure the floor is square and
taut.

5.  Locate the hook-and-loop tabs on the underside

of the rain fly—these tabs will secure the fly to
the tent poles. Locate the “Backcountry Dome”
logo on the fly and line it up with the logo on
the tent. Drape the fly over the tent. Match up
the gold and grey webs on the tent and fly, but
don’t attach them yet. Reach under the fly and
wrap the hook-and-loop tabs around the tent
poles. Connect the grey and gold webs on the
tent and fly.

6. Using the black tent pole, insert the end tip into

the grommet on the gold web at the front of the
tent. Arch it over the front of the tent and insert
the opposite end of the pole into the gold web
on the other side. Attach the plastic hooks to
the pole. (See Figure 4.)

7. Pull the front and rear of the fly out to form

vestibules. Stake them so they are smooth and
taut. (See Figure 5.)

Attaching High Wind Guylines

It is recommended that you guy out your tent in
high winds. Guylines with pre-attached tensioners
are included in the stake bag of the tent. The tent
fly has attachment loops sewn into it for these
lines.

1.  Tie the end of the guyline without the slider to

the loop of the tent fly. (See Figure 6.)

2. Pull the loop from the tensioner and insert the

stake in the loop.

3.  Slide the tensioner along until the line is tight

(See Figure 7.)
