Once autotest is completed, observe in the status window the following
message: “Automatic Recorder Test

PASSED.” in blue.

If Printout is required, click the Print Button.
(10) If the recorder fails the Autotest, click the Display Status button and note any
fault error codes and refer to the Troubleshooting Section 3. to further isolate
the problem.

(12) Attach a print out of test results to the return to service paperwork as needed.
(13) If the recorder passes the Autotest, this qualifies the FA5000CVDR recorder
FDR function for a Return-To-Service condition.
NOTE:
In order for the CVDR recorder to be in a Return

Service
condition, both the FDR and CVR functions are required to
be tested.
(14) After the completion of the auto tests, return to the Recorder Status block, se-
lect the Set Data Type/Rate button, and then set the Data Type to 717 and
Words per Frame to 128 wps. Click the OK button.
(15) Note a Rose pop-up window appears with the following message: “Set Data
Type/Rate command was successful”. Click the OK button.

Set Final Memory Marker

At the Test Flight Recorder window, under the Simulated Data block click the
Start Data button.

At the Recording block, click the Start Recording button.
(3)
Observe a Record Data pop-up warning window states: “Recording new data
will write over previous recorder flight data.” “Do you wish to continue?” Click
the Yes button.
