Setting Up:
1.
Connect the wire of the rain gauge to the jack of the Rain Meter
2.
Observing the correct polarization, insert 2 x AA, IEC LR6
batteries into the compartment at the back of the Rain Meter and
replace the cover.
3.
All segments of the LCD will light up briefly. Then 0.00 inch or
0.00mm (default in inch units) will be displayed in all 3 counters.
If the “0.0” is not displayed after a few seconds, remove the
batteries and wait for at least 10 seconds before reinserting them.
4.
Place the rain gauge in an appropriate location (wire length is 33
feet/ 10 meters)
Note:
When opening the battery cover make sure that the batteries do not
spring free from the contacts since this will cause start and transmission
problems.
Battery Change:
It is recommended to replace the batteries in the unit on an annual basis
to ensure optimum accuracy.
