Transition The Echo Turntable From Online Mode To Standalone Mode
The steps below describe the standard operating procedure for transitioning the Echo Turntable from
Online
to
Standalone
mode
when connected to Tempo.
1. Verify that the Echo Liquid Handler is not currently involved in an active run in either of the following ways.
a. Physically view the Echo to determine if an active run is in process.
b. If Tempo is running, it is recommended to verify if the Echo is scheduled for use or is currently being used in an
active run.
l
Open Tempo and navigate to the
Hardware
tab.
l
Select
Echo
and select
Offline
from the drop-down menu to change the mode from
Online
. Performing this
action provides an additional verification that the Echo is not in use. If the Echo is already
Offline
, you can
move forward with transitioning to
Standalone
mode.

2. If you attempt to change the mode to
Offline
while an active run is in process, Tempo displays a dialog box that informs you
that the device mode cannot be changed while an active run is in process.

3. If the Echo is not in an active run, you can move the Echo Turntable into the
Standalone
position and Tempo's
Hardware
Tab will change the mode to
Standalone
mode. No
Standalone
mode warning or error is given in Tempo.
4. Close the Tunnel door. If a protocol is running, the system slows to a safe speed until the tunnel door is closed. The
corresponding Tunnel door alert appears as closed (green) on the Tempo Workcell tab:
