The standard Mars/MarsPro side window is not supplied with a hole for the fitting of a gas / media valve tap.
Occasionally it may be necessary to replace the side window to allow for valves to be fitted in
which case a window with 3 holes can be supplied ( Item 9, part no 9,000,020,105) or a window
with 1 holes (part no. 9,000,020,106).
The windows are made of toughened glass, 5mm thick.
To remove / replace the side window the procedure is as follows from the outside of the cabinet:-
Gently cut away the silicon from around the edge of the outer window frame
Pull away the frame casing to expose the window glass underneath.
Remove the clips from the locating screws holding the window in position and save for replacement unless new
ones are to be fitted.
Remove the glass taking care to support it’s weight when removed.
Clean away any silicon along the edges of the frame.
Apply silicon sealant around the edge of the frame
Fit the new glass and secure into place with the clips
Refit the outer frame and reseal with silicone around the edges.
