Investigation with Luna Wireless Module
11.1 Introduction
The Luna module is a wireless interface for measurement of pressures, EMG,
and/or conductance. This allows free movement of the patient without moving
the complete measurement system. After a wireless stationary investigation,
you can choose to continue an ambulatory investigation without removing the
catheter.
Summary of the investigation procedure
The procedure is as follows:
▪
Start and perform a stationary urodynamic investigation, as described in
Chapter 2.
▪
After finishing the investigation, close the stationary measurement program.
▪
Start the Luna ambulatory measurement program.
▪
Select the investigation protocol and continue the investigation. The Luna is
now recording data and the patient is free to go.
▪
Stop recording when you want.
Protocol setting
With the protocol settings
Enable continuation with ambulatory
Urodynamics
(on the
General
tab of the protocol settings), it is possible to
continue with an ambulatory study after the stationary study. The software will
ask if you want to
continue with ambulatory Urodynamics
after you stopped
the stationary study. You can click
Yes
or
No
. When you click
Yes
, the
ambulatory software will be started automatically (you don’t have to start the
software manually from the database). This option by default is not selected
and available only when the Luna has been registered and the ambulatory
software option is available.
The following sections explain the steps in the stationary and ambulatory
measurement in more detail.
NOTE
The Luna must be registered first. For more information,
consult the
