The virtual remote control is a tool that
is useful when the remote control has
depleted batteries, is malfunctioning, or when it is lost. The tool ensures that
the user can always proceed with the investigations. A tool button is available
that controls the display of the virtual remote control during pre-test and
measurement. When right-clicking the virtual remote control during the pre-test
with the stationary software, a pop-up menu will be displayed. By clicking the
keys with the mouse, the keys on the remote control will be activated. The
position of the remote-control window can be changed during pre-test by
dragging the window with the mouse. The position of the remote-control
window will be saved and will be default for the next software startup. During
measurement, the remote control cannot be moved. By clicking the keys with
the mouse, the keys on the remote control will be activated.
12.3.6 Markers
During an investigation, markers can be placed to indicate interesting events
or to invoke calculation of parameters. Markers are displayed as colored
vertical lines on the screen.
There are two types of markers:
•
Immediate markers
are placed at the plot line. This is the line where the
curves start.
•
Delayed markers
are placed at the marker line. This allows some time to
consider where the marker should be placed. The marker line is the vertical
line in the plot window at a certain distance from the plot line. In the
investigation protocol, the marker line distance (time for the curves to reach
the marker line) can be set.
Some markers are used for all investigations and other markers are specific to
one investigation.
Artefact
marker
(delayed marker)
Coughing or movement by the patient can cause an undesired change in the
pressures. For that, you can place an
artefact
marker before and after the
artefact. The data between the two
artefact
markers will be excluded from the
calculations. Artefact markers can be placed with the
Artefact
button on the
screen or with the
Artefact
key on the remote control.
