275 Removing bolts
16 c.
Install new rollers to replace the ones that have been removed.
Put back all 4 bolts in their respective holes before tightening them up.
16 d.
Flip the bottom follower panel backward (panel next to packer) [see Figure 3
274].
The two follower panels are now folded over the packer.
16 e.
Remove both rollers (one on each side of the bottom follower panel).
Using a 5⁄16-inch Allen wrench and a 3⁄4-inch box, remove all 4 bolts that keep the roller in
place (see Figure 3
275).
16 f.
Install new rollers to replace the ones that have been removed.
Put back all 4 bolts in their respective holes before tightening them up.
16 g.
Unfold both follower panels.
All panel rollers must now rest on the lower section of both side rails.
17.
Reinstall the upper part of both side rails (one on each side of the hopper).
18.
Reinstall the transversal beam and its retaining bolts (2 on each side).
19.
Put back the deflector panel and reinstall the 3 carriage bolts (see Figure 3
271).
20.
Exit the hopper.
21.
Start the engine and engage the hydraulic pump.
22.
Run a full cycle to check for proper operation.
23.
Turn OFF the hydraulic pump and the engine.
24.
Lock out and tag out the vehicle (see
Locking Out and Tagging Out the Vehicle
25.
If the test cycle is satisfactory, reinstall the chute (use
Substeps m) to a) within Step 10
,
page 147, to carry out this task).
Danger!
Do not enter the hopper while the packer is moving.
