Once the adjustment is completed, reinstall all the parts that have been removed, including both
protective panels and the crusher panel deflector, if equipped.
Glass Compartment Limit Switch (optional)
On trucks equipped with a glass compartment, a limit switch is provided which activates an alarm in
the cab and outside the truck whenever the glass compartment is raised.
Always make sure that the limit switch rod is released as soon as the glass compartment starts rising. If
it is not the case, adjust the limit switch rod properly (see
Figure 3

Tailgate Hooks (Co-Mingle Units)
Co-mingle vehicles have 2 tailgates that can move independently of one another. Under each tailgate
a hook is provided to lock the tailgate and seal the body. Each hook needs to be greased weekly.
When closing both tailgates, the bottom seals of each tailgate must be pressed firmly against the body
to prevent any spillage when the body is full.
To adjust the tension of both tailgate hooks, apply the following procedure:

These hooks must be adjusted separately. Proceed with the adjustment of any of the 2 tailgate
hooks, then with the adjustment of the other one.
1.
Start the engine and engage the hydraulic pump.
2.
Raise the tailgate by about 3 feet (enough to move the safety prop freely).
Danger!
Prior to raising the tailgate, make sure that no one is standing behind the vehicle and that
the body is empty.
