Remove the right-hand side protective panel that is fixed to the rear hopper wall (see Figure
121).

On some trucks, especially those with a single split crusher panel, the crusher panel deflector
also needs to be removed (see Figure 3

Once the protective cover is removed, you will be able to access the area where the chute cylinder
is.
7.
Remove the pin (see Figure 3
123).
Remove the cotter pin to remove the pin.

Loosen the locknut (see Figure 3
123).
9.
Gently lift the rod head from the chute lever (see Figure 3
123).
10.
Turn the rod head clockwise or counterclockwise depending on the adjustment required.
Turning it clockwise reduces the length of the cylinder rod, and turning it counterclockwise
extends the rod. Make only half a turn at a time.
11.
Once the adjustment is complete, slowly lower the rod head into the chute lever.
12.
Retighten the locknut.
13.
Put back the pin to secure the rod head.
