With the Tailgate Down switch on the in-cab control panel (see Figure 2
12), close the tailgate
completely.
The
TAILGATE
OPEN
light indicator should turn OFF.

Put the corresponding safety pin back in place.
If the other tailgate needs to be open, select it using the Tailgate Selector switch on the in-cab control
panel (see Figure 2
16), then repeat the last 2 procedures: “Setting the Tailgate Safety Props (Co-
Mingle Units)” and “Putting the Tailgate Safety Prop Back in Place (Co-Mingle Units)”.
Tailgate Safety Prop Adjustment
Sometimes the tailgate safety prop may need to be adjusted for the tailgate pin to rest perfectly at the
center of the prop head (pin must be as centered as possible in the prop head).

If the tailgate pin is off-center in the prop head, proceed with the following adjustment procedure:
1.
Loosen the nut at the bottom of the bolt (see Figure 2
18).

With a wrench turn the bolt clockwise or counter-clockwise as desired for the prop to reach the
correct position (not too high, not too low).
3.
Once the adjustment is done, retighten the nut.
