6.3. Configuration Menu
By clicking on the Configuration tab, you will be brought to
the main page of the Configuration menu. From this win-
dow you can see details about your network, software and
hardware, while also being able to restart or shutdown your
LaCie Ethernet Disk mini (
fig. A
).
6.3.1. Machine Name
By clicking on the blue button to the right of Machine Name,
in the General section of the Configuration menu, you will be
taken to the Change Machine Name page. From here you
can modify the name of the LaCie Ethernet Disk mini. If you
have changed the name, click the Submit Changes button
to activate your changes. The default machine name for the
LaCie Ethernet Disk mini is “EDmini” (

).
If you intend to use more than one Ethernet Disk mini on your
network, you must change the default machine name. Each
Ethernet Disk mini must have a unique name.
