When a new drive has been correctly installed into
the 2big you will need to initialize the drive before the
2big can use it.
To initialize a new drive:
Sign in to the NAS administration page administra-
tor account.
Click on
System > Disk > RAID
.
Select the “Apply modifications” box and click the
Apply
button (Fig. 5.3.2).
TeChNICAl NOTe:
If the 2big is in SAFE mode, the
new disk has to be synchronized with the original one.
Depending on the capacity of the disk, synchronization
may take a few hours.
