Clicking this feature will provide you with the firmware version of
your LaCinema Classic HD (

10.5.9. Update Device
This feature allows you to update your LaCinema Classic HD’s op-
erating system.
Update using USB Key
If the drive does not have internet access, you can download an
update file from the LaCie website, copy it to a USB flash drive, and
connect the drive to the front port of the LaCinema Classic HD. An
icon will appear in the Settings Space when a valid update file is
detected (
Fig. 128
). Select this option and confirm (

). When
it has finished updating, the product will restart.
Update through Internet Access
If your drive is connected to the network and has access to the inter-
net, click the
button to check for updates (
Fig. 128
). If updates
are available, they will be listed. Click the
button to download
and install. When it has finished updating, the product will restart.
The device will also perform an automatic check when you restart
the product.
