INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. BEFORE USING
1.1. Precautions and safety indications
Carefully read the instructions and warnings contained in the present manual and
keep them for later consultation during the lifetime of the apparatus. This manual contains
important indications about operating during the installation and use, as well as about the
safety of the product.
The interior should never be opened or handled.
1.2. Staff and third party protection
Avoid contacting the skin with the CO2 liquid, cold vapors or the carbon dioxide
“snow”. It may produce burns or injury due to severe freezing.
Do not ingest the product. The dry ice is harmful if ingested. If ingested, get
medical help immediately.
Only use in well-ventilated areas. It may be helpful to use a portable or continuous CO2
analyzer to measure the CO2 concentration in areas where the gas may be released and
concentrated, like for example in a basement.
Do not use or store dry ice in closed places.
Do not place the dry ice in airtight containers. Airtight containers may explode when the
dry ice is converted in CO2 gas.
Do not store dry ice where people sleep. Only use dry ice in open or well-ventilated places.
If otherwise, a lack of oxygen (suffocation) may occur, potentially causing severe injuries or
death..
1.3. Fire, gas and smoke exposure protection
Never use a direct flame to heat the bottles of compressed gases.
Never leave the bottles in the sun or exposed to weather, and they must be stored
vertically, in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.
For detecting a possible gas leak, use solutions like soapy water, never test leaks
with a flame.
