MAINTENANCE AND REPLACEMENT OF WEARING PARTS
7.1 CLEANING AND CARE
WARNING!
RISK OF FIRE from the formation of sparks while sanding or
from spontaneous combustion:
• There is a high risk of fire when sanding woods with a
large amount of resin, oiled or waxed floors or metal!
Therefore, the machine must always be cleaned carefully
directly after sanding!
• Be certain to note the warning notices of the paint, oil
and wax manufacturers!
HEALTH RISK caused by dust and RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE:
Clean the machine regularly:
• Dust and deposits in the machine housing and the plate
reduce the suction performance and the dust load at the
workplace increases excessively!
• Remove any dirt from the gas spring at the bottom of the
guide tube
- either by wiping it with a dry cloth,
- or by vacuuming it with a suitable vacuum cleaner!
Never blow off the gas spring with compressed air,
otherwise the seals of the gas spring will be damaged!
• Never use any cleaning products which contain solvents!
Before starting work, you should perform the following care
procedure in order to ensure that the machine is in full working
order and produces the customary high-quality sanding finish:
•
Clean the machine’s wheels.
•
Clean all dust or other residues off the moving parts at the
base of the guide tube.
•
Carry out a visual inspection of the electrical equipment
(extension cable, plugs, couplings). Replace damaged parts
if necessary.
