BATTERY SAFETY

Battery Warning

:  KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

•  Keep new and used batteries away from children.
•  If the battery compartment (if applicable) does not close securely, stop using the 

product and keep it away from children.

•  Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity (+/-).
•  Batteries should be replaced by an adult. 
•  Never dispose of batteries in fire as this may cause them to explode or attempt to 

disassemble the batteries. 

•  Do not mix old and new batteries (replace all batteries at the same time). 
•  Do not mix Alkaline, standard Carbon Zinc or rechargeable batteries. 
•  Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
•  Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries. 
•  Always remove exhausted or dead batteries from the product. 
•  Remove batteries from the product, if not going to be used for a long time. 
•  Ensure the battery compartment is secure.
•  Batteries are harmful if swallowed. 
•  If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the 

body, seek immediate medical attention.

•  Symptoms of battery ingestion are difficult to diagnose. Examples include: Cough, 

gag or drool a lot, appear to have an upset stomach, be sick, point to their throat or 

tummy, have a pain in their tummy, chest or throat, be tired or lethargic, be quieter or 

more clingy than usual, lose their appetite, not want to eat solid food or unable to eat 

solid food.

•  Symptoms can vary and also may fluctuate i.e., pain increasing then subsiding.
•  One thing specific to button battery ingestion is vomiting fresh (bright red) blood.  

If this is the case, then seek immediate medical help.

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

Swallowing can lead to chemical burns, 

perforation of soft tissue and death. Severe 

burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion. 

Seek medical attention immediately.
