PORRIDGE
• Wash porridge oats thoroughly until the water is clear.
• Grease the cooking pot with a little butter before cooking.
• If you want to reduce or increase the ingredients, do this proportionally and do not
exceed the maximum 1.5 cup mark inside the cooking pot.
• We recommend a ratio of 1:2 (1 cup of porridge oats to 2 cups of water or milk), using
the measuring cup supplied. Do not fill the pan above the 1.5 cup level.
• Place the cooking pot into the main unit, place the rice cooker lid on top and close the
locking clips.
• Plug in the appliance and switch on at the socket.
• Press the
POWER/WARM
button and the appliance will go into Standby function.
• Press
PORRIDGE
button, the appliance will beep once. The porridge indicator light will
illuminate red and flash 5 times. The display panel will then show 60 on the display and
the minute indicator light will illuminate and start to countdown.
• When the Rice Cooker has completed cooking it will beep 5 times and then go into
Keep Warm function for up to 24 hours.
• We advise that you
DO NOT
keep porridge for more than 2 hours as the flavour will
start to deteriorate.
• Stir before serving.
TIP:
We recommend making porridge with pasteurised milk with a low fat content to
avoid the milk boiling.
