The troubleshooting procedures outlined here are designed to test the control circuit and the
operating mechanism of the transfer switch. It is, therefore, necessary that all factors external to
the transfer switch are correct, and that all accessory devices which are not imperative to switch
operation either operate satisfactorily or are disconnected from the circuit.
Many of the accessory devices described below may not exist in the transfer switch being
examined. The proper wiring diagrams should be on hand before beginning work on the switch.
We recommend that the entire manual be read before attempting to make any adjustment. Above
all, CAUTION is recommended.
