Connect the Interlock Adapter Cable (Models 8404/8407 only, prior to 02//14/2014)

Lake Shore has discovered that some of the connection cables to the interlock connector on the
Keithley 6487 Picoammeter Voltage Source were made incorrectly. The pins outs were not in
the right location, but Lake Shore has solved this problem by making an adapter cable with the
correct pin outs.

If the gate bias or source voltage option does not work on your system, the problem is most
likely the Keithley interlock connection cable. Lake Shore has provided you with an adapter
cable that will solve this problem. Plug the male end of this cable into your existing female
adapter (see Figure 7), then plug the female end of the adapter into the interlock connection of
the Keithley 6487.
