INSTALLATION:
should be done in a workmanlike fashion by trained personnel.
1) FILLING THE BOTTLE
- Plug the end of the collecting tube Fig. 3 pos. 1 and rest it on the bottom of the bottle.
- Fill the bottle with clean water to a depth of about 10 cm, then pour in the quartz (white
gravelly grit) then the resin as shown in Fig. 3.
- Remove the plug from the collecting tube and lubricate the terminal with paraffin grease or
similar.
- Connect the filter beneath the valve (Fig. 3 pos. 4) to the control valve (Fig. 3 pos. 5) and
screw in, ensuring that the collecting tube connects in the centre. This operation should be
done by hand without using spanners, and being careful not to force the electronic box.
N.B. The models PLUS 265 - 350 - 425 - 550 are not fitted with filter beneath the valve
.
2) HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS
- Place the softener in a hygienically suitable area.
- The apparatus must be placed on flat flooring. The salt container will be placed by the side
of the bottle.
- The apparatus should be protected from frost, humidity in general and sources of heat.
- Connect up the hydraulic pipes as shown in Fig. 4, connecting the hard water inlet and the
softened water outlet as shown by the arrows on the valve.
- Connect the tube of the brine valve to the control valve.
- Connect up the drain at the back of the valve.
- The drain tube must be visible and accessible for inspection. It must be possible to the load
between drain tube and funnel for discharge collection.
- The funnel for drain collection must not exceed a difference in level of 1.8 metres from the
floor. The discharge tube must not be extended more than 8 metres and must not create
considerable limits in flowrate.
