The nozzle must be selected in relation to the boiler flue output, bearing in mind that diesel oil has a calorific
value (PCI) of 10200 kcal/kg. The table indicates the flow rate or consumption (in kg/h and kW) of diesel oil
depending on the nozzle size (in GPH) and the pump pressure (in bar). In the case of burners with preheating
the actual flow rate values are about 10% less than the values shown in the table.
Example: 29kW flue output.
For a pump pressure of 12 bar, the closest value is 28.70 kW corresponding to a nozzle of 0.60 GPH. If the
optimal nozzle is not available, the pump pressure can be changed (within the limits indicated in the para-
graph “PUMP PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT”) in order to obtain the desired flow rate.
FITTING THE NOZZLE
Once the nozzle suited to the boiler output has been selected, proceed with fitting the nozzle on the burner
as described in the paragraph “MAINTENANCE” (Fig. A-B-C-C1)
