- Before starting the burner for the first time, have professionally qualified personnel carry out the
following operations:
a) Check the internal and external seal of the fuel feed system.
b) Adjust the fuel flow rate according to the required burner output.
c) Check that the burner is fed with the type of fuel for which it was designed.
d) Check that the fuel feed pressure is within the values shown on the plate.
e) Check that the fuel feed system is dimensioned for the required burner output and that all the sa-
fety and control devices as required by current regulations have been fitted.
• If you decide not to use the burner for a certain period of time, close the fuel feed cock/s.
PARTICULAR WARNINGS FOR THE USE OF GAS
• Have the following checked by professionally qualified personnel:
a) that the feed line and the gas ramp are in conformity with the regulations and provisions in force.
b) that all the gas connections are gas-tight
c) that the vents in the boiler room are dimensioned so as to guarantee the flow of air required by
current regulations and in any case sufficient to obtain perfect combustion.
- Do not use the gas pipes as earthing for the electrical equipment.
- Do not leave the burner on needlessly when it is not being used, and always close the gas cock.
- In case of extended absence of the user, close the main gas feed cock to the burner.
- If you smell gas:
a) Do not activate electrical switches, the telephone and any other object that may cause sparks.
b) Immediately open the doors and windows to create a flow of air to clear the room.
c) Close the gas cocks.
d) Call in professionally qualified personnel.
- Do not obstruct the vents of the room where the gas burner is installed to prevent hazardous con-
ditions such as the formation of toxic and explosive mixtures.
