To receive data from a station the PC has to be switched on and must be connected to the
internet. There is no need to have any user logged-in.

Automated Data Reception and Monitoring of Measuring Net-
works using MeteoWare Rain full version
In addition to the periodical reception of data from stations via GPRS and the manual retrieval of data from the
stations one by one via USB or GSM, the full version of MeteoWare Rain is able to retrieve respectively receive
the data and alarm messages of complete networks automatically via GSM/GPRS. Thereby the full version of
MeteoWare Rain is the software of choice for monitoring measuring networks with several PreLOG. For a complete
documentation of this and further functions please refer to the operating instructions (help pages) of the MeteoWare
Rain software. Before you use the station in this way, it has to be con
fi
gured for GPRS communication using the
PreLOG-Commander (see pp. 20 ff.)
