Instrument and control functions
Main switch
The main switch controls the ignition
and lighting systems, and is also used
to lock the steering, open the seat and
open the glove compartment. The vari
-
ous functions are described as below.
On
All electrical circuits are supplied with
power, the engine can be started. The
key cannot be removed.
Off
All electrical systems are off. The key
can be removed.
Lock
The steering is locked, and all electrical
systems are off. The key can be remo
-
ved.
Lock and unlock the steering lock
1.
Turn the handlebar all the way to
the left.
2.
Push the key in and turn it to the
po-
sition

while still pushing
it.
3. Remove the key.

Push the key in and then turn it to

Off) to unlock the steering
lock.

WARNING
Never turn the key to or , while
the vehicle is moving, otherwise the
electrical systems will be switched off,
which may result in loss of control or
an accident. Make sure that the vehic-
le is stopped before turning the key.
Open the seat:
When in position

Off) , turn the key
counterclockwise without pushing it in
to open the seat.
Open the glove compartment:
When in position

“ (On)
, turn the key
clockwise while pushing it in to open
the glove compartment.
