PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT LEAVE THE DEVICE CONNECTED WHEN YOU ARE NOT USING IT.
CARE AND STORAGE:
If the water is hard, i.e. if it contains too much calcium and magnesium, it may leave a “white powder” in the device and cause frothing
on the surface of the basin, on the transducer (ceramic pellets producing ultrasound) and on the internal walls of the water reservoir.
Frothing on the surface of the transducer means that the device will not work properly.
We recommend:
If the water contains too much calcium and magnesium, it may deposit a “white powder” in the device. If this foam is deposited on the
transducer(s) (ceramic ring(s) producing ultrasounds, diagram 1, point 5), this will prevent the device from working properly.
Maintenance:
We recommend:
1) Using water that has been boiled and cooled or distilled water each time the device is used.
2) Cleaning the reservoir every 3 days and cleaning the transducer every week;
3) Changing the water in the tank regularly so that it stays fresh, and not leaving it there for longer than 2 days.
4) Cleaning the entire device and making sure that all its parts are completely dry when it is not in use.
To clean the transducer:
1) Put 2 to 5 drops of vinegar on its surface and leave them there for 2 to 5 minutes.
2) Brush the foam off the surface with a soft brush. Do not use a hard tool to scrape the surface.
3) Rinse the transducer with clean water.
4) Do not use soap or other basic substances to clean the transducer
To clean the basin:
1) Clean the basin with water using a soft cloth and vinegar if there are foam OR lime scale deposits on the inside.
2) If the foam covers the safety switch, put a few drops of vinegar on it and clean it with a brush.
3) Rinse the basin in clean water.
Storage:
1) Clean and dry the humidifier carefully using ultrasound, following the maintenance instructions.
2) Let it dry completely before storing it. Do not store it there is still water in the base.
3) Store the device in a dry, cool place out of the reach of children.
