You can start the wizard in various ways. It can either be started directly by
LANconfig after finding the device automatically, or the wizard can be manu-
ally started under
Tools > Start CC Start- up Wizard...
.
Use the drop-down menus and fields to specify the necessary settings.
COM port:
Select the COM port through which the computer is con-
nected to the LANCOM CC router. To determine the COM port
used by Windows, use the Device Manager under the entry
"Ports (COM & LPT)".
Firmware:
Enter the storage location of the firmware file here.
Checksum:
Enter the checksum from the BSI certificate report corre-
sponding to your firmware here.
Configuration: Here you decide whether to use the wizard to create a new
configuration or choose an existing configuration in the form
of a script or configuration file.
Device name: Enter the new device name for the LANCOM CC router here.
This box is grayed out if a script or configuration file has been
selected.
