Poly Blade (Optional)
Refer to Figure 3-3:
The optional poly blade (#4) can be reversed to extend its
life. Reverse poly blade before its cutting edge is worn
even with bottom of moldboard (#5). Replace poly blade
before both cutting edges have worn even with bottom of
moldboard (#5).
DANGER
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
•
Always secure equipment with solid, non-concrete supports
before working under it. Never go under equipment
supported by concrete blocks or hydraulics. Concrete can
break, hydraulic lines can burst, and/or hydraulic controls
can be actuated even when power to hydraulics is off.
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
•
Reverse or replace poly blade with Snow Pusher attached
to a tractor loader. An unhooked Snow Pusher can tip over
backwards causing serious injury or death.
Preparation
1. Park tractor and Snow Pusher on level ground. Lower
Snow Pusher until skid shoes (#6) are resting on
support blocks (#7) as shown. (Support blocks
should not be located under poly blade (#4).)
2. Shut tractor down properly before dismounting to
reverse or replace blade. Refer to
Reverse Poly Blade
The poly blade (#4) can be reversed (rotated upside
down) and reused to extend its life.
1. Complete
on this page before
completing steps below.
2. Remove hex whiz nuts (#3), carriage bolts (#2),
blade support bars (#1), and poly blade (#4).
3. Rotate poly blade upside down and reattach it with
existing blade support bar (#1) and existing
hardware (#2 & #3). Do not tighten nuts at this time.
4. Center poly blade between side panels and tighten
hex whiz nuts (#3) to the correct torque.
5. Back drag unit 50 yards on dry concrete to level
trailing edge of snow blade with bottom of skid shoe.
