Deck Height & Level Adjustments
DANGER

To avoid serious injury or death:
Always secure equipment with solid, non-concrete supports
before working under it. Never go under equipment supported
by concrete blocks or hydraulics. Concrete can break,
hydraulic lines can burst, and/or hydraulic controls can be
actuated even when power to hydraulics is off.

Always shut tractor down using “Tractor Shutdown
Procedure” provided in this manual before dismounting
There are four primary adjustments that should be made
prior to actual field operation:

“Level Deck Left to Right” on page 26
•
“Adjust Deck Cutting Height” on page 26
•
“Adjust Tailwheel Height” on page 27
•
Adjust Tractor Center 3-Point Link on page 28

Adjustments
Proper adjustment of each of these items will provide
higher efficiency, improved cutting performance and
longer blade life.
Level Deck Left to Right
The Rotary Cutter must operate level from side to side at
all times. Make certain tailwheels are adjusted to
identical heights before adjusting lower 3-point lift arms.

Locate tractor and cutter on a flat level surface.
2. Use tractor’s hydraulic 3-point control lever to lower
cutter until tailwheels make contact with ground.
3. Follow
before dismounting from tractor.
4. Place a spirit level or other suitable leveling device
across the front of the deck.
5. Adjust either one or both of the tractor’s lower 3-point
lift arms up or down to level the deck from left to right.
Some tractors have only a single adjustable lift arm.
