NCC GRILL CONTROLLER 

 

DESCRIPTION

 

The grill controller reads the temperature of the cooking lanes then turns burners on 
and off as needed to archive the standard temperature on the grill surface.  For the 
grill to  

Function correctly, the controller must be set to the correct grill type, number of 
burners, and the grill configuration (standard or reverse). 

 

 

The grill controller components include: 

 

• 

Power switch

 turns the controller and grill on and off. 

• 

PROGRAM and SEL

 keys program the controller 

• 

UP/DOWN ARROWS

 allow selection of options. 

• 

ENTER

 Key will accept program and advance to the next mode. 

• 

Pressing the 

PROG

 

&

 

ENTER

 keys will allow you to back up and get out. 

•

OPERATING PROCEDURE 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Turning the Grill Controller on and Checking the Self-test 
1.  When the power is turned on, the controller will perform a self-test.  If the 

controller passes the self-test, the message LOW GRILL TEMP will be 
displayed.  Also, the LED’s will be flashing red until the grill reaches 275 F. 

2.  When a zone reaches 275 F, the message WARMING UP # (X) (XXX) will be 

displayed. 

3.  Yellow LED indicates burner on: Green LED indicates set-operating 

temperature has been reached. 

 

(x) = grill lane 
(xxx)= temperatures in degrees F or C. 

Checking Actual Grill Temperatures 

1.  When the grill is properly calibrated, the controller can be used to check grill 

temperatures.  Temperatures of each grill section are displayed on the display. 

 
2.  Temperature must be verified with the thermometer kit according to HAACP 

guidelines.
