Loading Paper in the Paper
Tray
This section describes instructions for
loading paper whose size and feed di-
rection is already set in the standard
paper tray and optional PS440. If you
want to change the paper size or feed
direction, see P.32

Confirm that the setting of the pa-
per size dial matches the paper size
and feed direction of the paper in
the tray. If it does not, misfeeds or
unexpected printing results might
occur.

Slide the paper tray out until it
stops.

Align all four sides of the paper
stack, and load it into the tray.

Do not stack paper over the lim-
it mark.

When you set thick paper in
tray 2, do not stack paper above
the lower limit mark (

To avoid paper multi-feeds,
shuffle sheets before setting
them in the tray.
