Table 16-10 Log Settings
To Configure the Diagnostic Log Output
Using Web Manager
To configure the Diagnostic Log output, click
Diagnostics
in the menu and select
Log
.
Using the CLI
To enter the command level:
enable -> config -> diagnostics -> log
Using XML
Include in your file:
<configgroup name=”diagnostics”>
and
<configitem name=”log”>
Memory
The memory information shows the total, used, and available memory (in kilobytes).
To View Memory Usage
Using Web Manager
To view memory information, click
Diagnostics
in the menu and select
Memory
.
Using the CLI
To enter the command level:
enable -> device, show memory
Diagnostics: Log
Description
Log Output
Select a diagnostic log output type:
Disable
- Turn off the logging feature.
Filesystem
- Directs logging to /log.txt.
Line (1 or 2 )
- Directs logging to the selected serial line.
Log Max Length
Set the maximum length of the log.txt file in Kbytes.
Note:
This setting becomes available when Filesystem is selected.
Log Verbosity Level
Select the
Verbosity Level
from the drop-down menu to specify the verbosity of
system messages logged to the Syslog Host.
Log Cellular Modem
IO
Select to enable or disable the logging of commands and responses with the
cellular modem.
Save Cellular Network
Traffic
Select to enable or disable the saving of cellular network traffic to the filesystem.
IF this option is enabled, the output goes to PPP-YYY-MM-DD_HH.MM.pcap.
PPP-YYY-MM-DD_HH.MM is the time at which capture was started.
