PROGRAMMABLE REMOTE INSTRUCTIONS
The Golight is controlled with a programmable remote with 2187 different channels. This feature allows you the freedom to change
the channel selection, and the receiver re-learns the new selection. This light has been pre-programmed at the factory and is not
necessary to re-program the transmitter, unless you experience outside interference.
NOTICE
•
The remote control is a transmitter. The light contains a receiver.
•
The light is always “hot”. The light is constantly listening for a transmitter as long as it is
connected to power.
•
Thus it is critical that you disconnect the power from the light you do not wish to
reprogram.
•
All lights within 200 feet of a controller (transmitter) must be disconnected from their power
before completing this
procedure.
1.
Golight controllers have a series of dip switches on the back of the controller. The dip switches
are accessed by removing the
battery cover. By default, all dip switches are set to the zero
position. Moving any one dip switch changes the channel for
that transmitter (controller). Once
you have changed a dip switch, proceed to step 2.
2.
Disconnect the power to the light you wish to control with the transmitter with the new
dip switch setting. For cigarette plug models, this means pulling the cigarette plug out of the
socket. For hard wired models,
you may need to physically separate the crimped connection. On
vehicle installations, you might need to pull the fuse for
that connection.
3.
Press and hold down the ON/OFF button on the transmitter (controller).
4.
Continue to hold down the ON/OFF button on the transmitter (controller) while
reconnecting the power to the light. Wait 5-8 seconds. The light bulb should turn on.
5.
Now, that remote controller will communicate with the light only.
NOTE:
When you install multiple Golights on one vehicle, vessel or other single power source, connect each Golight to a
separate fuse.
