8.1 MAST TROUBLESHOOTING
8.1.1) No power to unit.
o
Check to ensure the generator is running.
o
Check main breaker switch at generator is turned
ON.
o
Check breaker panel and ensure nothing has been
tripped or is off.
o
Check line power is
240V for the automatic transfer
switch
.
o
Check the automatic transfer switch is operating
properly.
8.1.2) HYDRAULIC RAM control is not responsive and
mast will not rise to its vertical position.
o
Check mast head has been unlatched and the
locking pin has been released.
o
Check mast
safety
pin is disengaged and pulled
out all the way.
o
Check mast head hasn’t extended during
transport. If the mast head is not fully retracted
pressing up against the mast retract sensor, this
will disable the hydraulic ram.
8.1.3) The air compressor will not engage and the mast
does not elevate.
o
Check mast is fully upright to its vertical position
and engaging the mast upright sensor
towards the
base of the mast.
o
Check mast
safety
pin is fully engaged and locked
in place.
o
Check all breakers for generator and breaker
panel.
o
Check and press the air compressor overload
protection switch.
8.1.4) The mast will not lower to its horizontal position.
The lift ram is unresponsive.
o
Check the mast is fully lowered and engaging the
mast retract sensor.
o
Check mast
safety
pin is fully disengaged.
o
Check that the mast head locking pin has not been
engaged.
o
Check to ensure the generator is running and all
breakers are turned ON.
