To change the oil, you will need to use a pump. Feed the
pump hose into the dipstick hole and pump the oil out of the
main oil hole. Once all oil has been pumped out you can
remove the pump and insert new oil into the generator.
The “break-in” oil and oil filter must be changed after the
first 50 hours of running – this is the most important oil
change in the life of the engine, and is mandatory for the
engine warranty to remain in effect. After that, the oil and
oil filter should be changed every 200 hours. Oil grade
should meet or exceed API type CF.
