33. PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS 

PROBLEMS 

POSSIBLE CAUSE

The fire burns with long and 
yellow flame, pellets are ejected 
not completely burnt 

Poor fuel quality 

Check  that  the  fuel  is  dry  and  that  has  not  absorbed 
moisture  during  transportation  or  storage,  if  necessary, 
replace 

Incrusted  air  dispenser  or 

rotating

Check the combustion air fan , Clean the air distributor and 
reposition the rotating crown correctly 

Excessive  combustion  fumes

Check  the  combustion  air  fan  .  Check  that  the  fuel  is  dry 
and that has not absorbed moisture during transportation or 
storage, if necessary, replace

Chimney  of  unsuitable  section, 

dirty or not insulated

Clean the chimney or replace it with an appropriate section, 

or arrange for a suitable insulation

Smoke return to fuel tank 

Bad draft of the chimney

This  problem  occurs  for  dirty  or  unburned  or  unsuitable 
sectional chimneys

Atmospheric  pressure  abrupt 
variations

Occasionally at certain times of the year, this disadvantage 

occurs  due  to  low  atmospheric  pressures;  if  the  problem 
occurs  at  a  certain  frequency  it  is  advisable  to  install  a 
smoke extractor 

There  is  fuel  in  the  main  tank, 
but  the  fuel  supply  gear  motor 
not start 

An  arc  is  formed  inside  the 
lower  tank  due  to  damp  and 
poor fuel, Defective star valve. 

Call  the  SERVICE  (CAT)  to  Check  the  star  valve    and 

disassemble  and  empty  the  locked  tank,  immediately 
change fuel quality. 

SERVICE AT COST 

There  is  fuel  in  the  upper  main 
tank, but the appliance emits an 
intermittent alarm 

Faulty  photocell  or  an  arc  is 

formed inside the main tank due 
to damp and poor quality fuel 

Replacing the photocell by the assistance center. Move the 

fuel  inside  the  main  tank.  If  there  is  an  additional  power 
supply (outside the appliance), make sure this works 

There  is  no  fuel  in  the  tank  but 
no alarm is signalled 

Photocells  dirty  due  to  very 
dusty  fuel  (sawdust)  or 

defected. 

Call  the  SERVICE  (CAT)  to  dismantle  the  photocells  and 
clean  them,  if  necessary  treat  them  with  an  anti-static 

preparation. 
SERVICE AT COST 

There  is  no  fuel  in  the  brazier, 
but  the  gear  motor  runs 
smoothly 

Faulty photocell or 

Call  the  SERVICE  (CAT)  to  dismantle  the  photocells  and 
clean  them,  or  replace  them  if  damaged,  to  restore  the 

chimney function. 
SERVICE AT COST 

The  dosing  unit  gear  motor 
remains blocked 

Poor  quality  fuel  or  non-

conforming  dimensions  and 
quality 

Call  the  SERVICE  (CAT)  to  to  check  the  star  valve    or 

unlock  by  cleansing,  take  care  to  replace  if  damaged  and 
absolutely

Remote  control  shows  the 
message  “CERCA  CAMPO”  and 
the  remote  control  does  not 
communicate  with  the  control
