beam inside the tip orifice using
the following:
a. Use a 1/8 inch hex wrench to
loosen the adjuster screw in
the direction you want the
beam to move.
b. Tighten the adjuster screw
that is opposite of the screw in
step 4a.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

5. Use the (4) adjusting screws
according to steps 4a and 4b until
the beam is centered in the tip
orifice.
6. Once the beam is centered, verify
all (4) adjusting screws are snug
again to finger tight (1 nm max).
4.4.2 Centering the Beam Using the
Camera System
Laser Mechanisms
’ camera system is
an aid for centering the beam in the tip
orifice. This method uses virtual
images of the beam and tip orifice on
a computer screen instead of visual
inspection.
See the chart below to determine
the appropriate camera system.
The beam centering camera requires
a Windows computer with a USB port
and the latest version of FiberCUT
®
1. Verify the high power beam is
disabled.
2. Turn on the red aiming beam from
the fiber laser.
3. Connect the beam-centering
camera to the computer using a
USB cable.
4. Open FiberCUT
®
Monitor RS and
click the Beam Centering Camera
button (
) in the toolbar.
If necessary, right-click on the
image to select the proper
camera.
