4-6. Scale Signal Output
4-6-1. A/B Signal Relationship (For output format A only)
Moves to head cable side
A signal is leading
Table 4-4
•
The phase relationship between the A/B output signal is fixed. If the movement direction does not match
the connected controller, switch the A and B signal when connecting to the controller.
•
For output format F and G, refer to section 4-5-1.
4-6-2. A/B Signal and Alarm Output Specifications
(For output formats A, F and G)
•
The output specifications are compliant with EIA-422.
•
A/B signal minimum phase difference t
Output type A
: 80 ns
Output type F, G : 38 ns
Fig. 4-5
•
The minimum phase error can vary depending on the length of the output cable, cable capacity, receiver
load, and other factors.
•
In output format F and G, the A/B output signal is synchronized by a 26.3 MHz internal clock, and so this
results in an error of approximately 38 ns.
4-6-3. Alarm (For output format A only)
When an error occurs in the signal level, the scale enters the alarm status for about one second. The alarm is
automatically reset after about second if the cause of the alarm is cleared within this time. If the cause of the
alarm is not cleared within about one second, it will be reset once the cause of the alarm has been cleared.
During an alarm status, the A/B output signal is high impedance, and also an alarm signal is output.
For output format F and G, refer to section 4-5-3.
