Mule Pulley Adjustment
The mule pulley is located under the
engine. The drive belt passes through
the pulley to the main deck drive pulley.
Under normal operating situations, the
pulley should not be changed from the
factory set position. The factory set posi-
tion is dictated by the model of the Las-
tec Mower.
However, in order to help the idler pulley
keep proper tension on a drive belt
(40-50 ft-lbs on the Cricket gauge [part
number 028498]) that has possibly
stretched, the mule pulley may be
adjusted. Simply remove the center bolt and place the pulley at the level most appropriate
to maintain the proper belt tension.

Anti-Scalp Wheel Adjustment (prior to serial #34660609)
The rear anti-scalp wheel on the deck can be adjusted by a turnbuckle attached between
the deck and wheel framework.
