Occasional adjustments to the hydro
-
static pumps my be necessary to keep
the drive wheels from creeping:
1.
Lift the rear of the drive unit until the
drive tires clear the ground.
2.
Be sure steering control levers are
locked in neutral position.
3.
Start the drive unit, and set the speed
full throttle.
If either drive tire rotates, adjust the
hydrostatic pump link arm for that tire.
a.
Loosen the jam nut from the
hydrostatic pump link arm.
b.
Slowly turn the link arm, watch
-
ing the tire as it turns.
c.
If the tire begins turning faster, turn the link arm in the opposite direction until it
slows, and eventually stops.
d.
Tighten the jam nut to lock the link arm into this position.
4.
Turn off the drive unit.
5.
Ensure that both link arm jam nuts are tight.
6.
Remove the unit from the jack stands.

belt while the engine is running.
