The hydrostatic pump drive belt is
located at the front of the engine,
between the radiator and the engine
block. The idler should tension the belt
properly so that additional adjustments
are not necessary.

Check the belt for excessive wear, dam
-
age, cracks, weathering, or other unsuit
-
able or unsafe operating conditions;
replace the belt, if necessary.

USE ONLY THE
LASTEC BELTS AS
REPLACEMENTS!
Las

tec belts are specially
designed for this mower.
Similar belts may not
meet the all the demands, leading to premature wear and reduced per
-
formance.
Ensure that the idler tensioning spring is properly installed and in good condition. If this
spring becomes loose, detached, or fatigued, the idler will not properly tension the belt.
3.11 Mower Deck Drive Belt
WARNING!
Do not inspect, adjust, or change the deck drive belt while
the engine is running.
Clean the entire deck area (under the operator seat pan) of all grease,
oil, fuel, grass, or debris to prevent fire and projectile hazards.
The mower deck drive belt is located under the
operator seat pan and runs up to the rear of the
engine. The spring-loaded idler system automati
-
cally tensions the belt to the proper level.
