Initial Set-Up
The radiator is located behind the operator’s seat.
NOTICE
Consult the
Kubota Diesel Engine Operator’s Manual
or proper coolant types and mixtures.
1.
Ensure engine is off and cool.
2.
Clean out any dirt or debris from around the radiator and engine compartment.
NOTE:
To remove the radiator screen, use the handle on top and pull upward until the pins on the inside are free of the
slots. Tilt forward while continuing to pull up to remove the rest of the way.
3.
Ensure the coolant level in the overflow tank is at 3/4 full at all times.
If the coolant level is low, add premixed coolant prior to operation.
If the coolant appears excessively contaminated or diluted, change the coolant prior to operation.
4.
Check the entire coolant system for any leaks:
Radiator,
Overflow tank
Hoses,
Clamps
Fittings
Engine compartment
Under the engine.
5.
Repair or replace the defective parts.
6.
Re-fill the coolant system with premixed coolant before operating.
3.7 Hydraulic Fluid
WARNING!
Hydraulic fluid is pressurized when hot. Keep well away from any leaks or loose connections while sys
-
tem is pressurized.
Allow ample time for hydraulic fluid to cool before changing or repairing leaks.
CAUTION!
Use only the correct Lastec Hydraulic Fluid (part numbers listed below) in the hydraulic tank.
Check fluid level and quality daily. Incorrect fluid, inadequate fluid level, or contaminated fluid will cause damage to the
hydraulic system.
