SECTION 4 OPERATING PROCEDURES
DANGER!
Do not run the engine indoors.
Do not place hands or feet near moving blades.
WARNING!
Do not allow anyone to operate your Lastec Mower without understand this manual, all instructions on the
machine, and all controls in their entirety. Failure to comply may result in personal injury and/or equipment damage.
PERSONNEL
Do not operate the tractor while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Wear eye and ear protection during operation.
Wear the seat belt during operation.
Do not allow children to operate this machine or be in the area when operating.
TERRAIN
Inspect the area where the tractor is to be used. Remove all stones, sticks, wire, or other foreign objects which could be
thrown by the blades.
Do not mow on slopes greater than 15 degrees (25%).
Avoid starting and stopping on slopes. Avoid making sudden changes in speed or direction. Make turns slowly and
gradually.
Disengage the blades when crossing gravel drives, walks, or roads and while not cutting grass.
Watch for holes, ruts, bumps, or other terrain features that could affect machine control.
FUEL
Do not smoke or produce any heat source while handling fuel.
Keep the nozzle in contact with the rim of the fuel tank until fueling is complete. Do not use a nozzle lock-open device.
Clean up oil or fuel spillage and remove any fuel soaked debris immediately.
TRANSPORT
Use properly secured full width ramps for loading and unloading your Lastec Mower for transport.
Ensure ramps are a maximum of 15 degrees of slope.
Use recommended tie-down points.
Raise and lock the articulating decks for transport.
CAUTION!
Perform the pre-operation equipment inspection before attempting to operate your Lastec Mower.
Perform the appropriate maintenance schedule(s) before attempting to operate your Lastec Mower.
