Motor boat LATREX 335 SIA LATREX
7/14
Recommended checks before starting operation:
Please perform a visual inspection of the hull, the cockpits, the engine
compartment and the bilge. In this way obvious damages can be discovered and
necessary rectifications effected.
In and near port areas use low speeds only; remember a motorboat has no
brakes. It is sufficient to shift the gear with no-load revolutions in order to reach
the necessary speed. Always shove off in a right angle to the waterside and pay
attention to the speed limitation of the waterside area.
Some remarks regarding driving characteristics of your LATREX 335 motor boat:
While maneuvering pay attention to the characteristics of a boat with an outboard
engine. Single engine boats with a clockwise rotating propeller (RH expression)
can be set more simply on port side, such with an anti-clockwise rotating
propeller therefore on starboard side.
Moving astern should always be done at the lowest speed, so that there is
always enough time and space for corrections.
Your LATREX-boat was certified according to the EC Directive for Recreational
Crafts as a “motorboat intended for voyages inside of sheltered waters“. Use
your LATREX-boat in the appropriate manner. Navigate in heavy sea only if you
cannot avoid it.
Advice for engine and gear:
Shift the gear only if the engine is at idling speed. Shifting gears at more than
1000 rpm can cause damage to the boat, the engine or the transmission.
If you want to switch off the engine, please put the lever into neutral position and
do not accelerate anymore. Only then can the engine be switched off by turning
the ignition key to the left.
Type-determination:
In spare part orders, please indicate engine model and series number. The
engine model specification is located on top of the cylinder head; the series
number of the engine is on the right side of the engine in the lower area. The sign
for the transmission number is mounted on the upper transmission side. (see
engine-manual)
