IEEE 1394 Hard Drive Enclosure for Mac® & PC

The FireDrive® hard drive enclosure ships complete with an
IEEE 1394-to-IDE controller card, a switching power supply,
one IDE cable, and one IEEE 1394 cable (IDE hard drive
purchased separately).
Note: 7200 RPM drives are recommended for maximum
throughput.
Connect the IDE cable and internal power cable to the hard
drive. Insert the IDE hard drive into the FireDrive® enclosure.
Replace the FireDrive® enclosure cover and secure it with
four screws.
Connect a power cable to your assembled FireDrive®, and
plug into any wall outlet.
Finally, attach the supplied IEEE 1394 cable to your
computer’s FireWire® port.
FireWire® is supported in Windows® 98SE/ME/2000/XP;
Mac® OS/8.6+; and Linux kernel 2.4+ in native mode.
