TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem encountered Possible causes

Solution

The milk frother does 

not switch on. Power 

light off   after 

having pressed the 

multifunction button. 

»   Appliance  not 

connected to the 

electricity grid.

»   The device is 

connected to multiple 

outlets or power bar.

»   No current at the 

current outlet.

»   Milk frother inserted 

incorrectly.

»   Electrical circuit failure.

»    Make sure the power cord is properly 

plugged into the current outlet.

»    Connect the device directly to the 

current outlet.

  »   Connect another device to check the 

power supply.

 »   Make sure to have inserted the milk 

frother correctly on the base and that 

there are no foreign bodies between 

the base and the milk frother that 

prevent proper operation.

»    Contact Lavazza’s Customer Service.

The milk frother does 

not froth the milk.

»   Whisk not present in 

the milk frother or not 

assembled/inserted 

correctly.

»   Multifunction  button 

pressed incorrectly.

»   Milk frother damaged.

»   Make sure the whisk is present, 

assembled and inserted correctly in 

the milk frother.

»   Make sure not to press the 

multifunction button twice.

Poor quality milk froth. »   Whisk not present in 

the milk frother or not 

assembled/inserted 

correctly.

»   Milk frother or whisk 

dirty.

»   Incorrect quantity of 

milk.

»  Unsuitable milk.

»   Time to wait too 

long betwen end of 

preparation and taking of 

the selected beverage.

»   Make sure the whisk is present, 

assembled and inserted correctly in 

the milk frother.

»   Make sure the milk frother and the whisk 

are clean.

»   Make sure that the correct quantity 

of milk has been used, respecting the 

levels shown.

»   For optimal warm milk foam, we 

recommend using unskimmed milk 

(pasteurized or UHT), refrigerated 

(4-8°C). For optimal cold milk foam, 

we recommend using skimmed milk 

(pasteurized or UHT), refrigerated 

(4-8°C).

»   Pour the preparation obtained in 

the cup directly after the end of the 

preparation and drink it immediately.

Red flashing light

  . 

»   Appliance  overheated. 

»   Electrical circuit failure.

»   Wait a few minutes and try again.

»   Make sure the milk you are using has not 

been heated yet.

»   Empty milk from container, rinse 

under cold water and repeat the cycle.
