Talkback
Fader Strips (Talk to Source)
You can talk to any of the following sources by pressing the
Talk
key on the corresponding fader strip:
·
Guest mics: MIC 3 and MIC 4
·
Hybrids: TEL 1 and TEL 2
The
TALK
keys are momentary, so hold the key down for as long as you wish to speak.
The talkback source is always the DJ's microphone (
MIC 1
). When talkback is added to the return, the main
signal is dimmed by -20dB.

PFL / CUE
In the standard configuration, MF Key 4 at the bottom of the fader strip is programmed as
PFL
(also known as
CUE). Multiple
PFL
s can be active to listen to a number of sources:
·
On a closed fader, press
PFL
to route the source onto the stereo PFL bus; the
PFL
automatically
cancels when you open the fader.
·
On an open fader, press
PFL
to put the channel into "PFL Prepare". Nothing happens until you close
the fader; once the fader is closed,
PFL
becomes active.
Monitoring Options
Whenever PFL (or CUE) is active, the bus is switched to the control room speakers and DJ headphones. The
monitor outputs will return to their active monitor source once all PFL (or CUE) selections are cleared.
Select
CLEAR PFL
on the Central Module to cancel all active PFLs quickly.
