GETTING STARTED
A few helpful hints on terms used in this manual.
LR:
La-Z-Boy Universal Remote Control
LED
: The BLUE indicator light that flashes with an
infra-red command to your equipment.
B a c k l i g h t i n g
: T h e b a c k l i g h t i n g o n t h e L C D
screen/keypad of your La-z-boy remote. Backlighting
turns on each time a key is pressed and will turn off 8
seconds after the last key is released.
Battery Low
: If the battery meter located on the
bottom right corner of the LCD screen appears and
shows an empty battery, the battery pack needs to be
recharged. Place your LR on to the charging
cradle/docking station. The blue LED indicator blinks
continuously, and turns off when charging is complete.
Shift:
The shift key allows you to access a second tier
of components with your remote. Please follow the
instructions in this manual.
LCD Screen
: Your LR is equipped with a touchscreen
LCD display. Each programmed device has 3 pages to
scroll thru for access to all functions. Please use the
page scroll key located in the lower right hand corner of
the LCD screen, as indicated in this manual.

HOW TO INSTALL BATTERIES
- Take off the battery case cover,
then connect the battery connector
into the remote unit.
CAUTION ON BATTERY
- B e s u r e t o u s e o n l y t h e
rechargeable nickel metal-hydride
(Ni-MH) battery pack that is
supplied with the remote controller.
- When loading, be sure to properly attach the
rechargeable battery cable connector to the remote
control socket.
- Be sure to properly dispose of the rechargeable battery
pack in accordance with the guidelines (regulations)
for your local area.
REPLACING THE BATTERIES
The batteries in the Remote control
are Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH)
batteries. It is advised to change the
batteries when the operation of your
LR becomes unreliable and is
unable to hold a charge.

please contact customer service.

Warning:
Replace the batteries only with an original LR battery
pack; otherwise the warranty is no longer valid and a
hazardous situation could occur.
