Safety
2.1
Compliant use of barriers
“La Barrière Automatique” barriers are designed exclusively to regulate the entry and/or exit of
predefined vehicles in specified areas.
The vehicles must have a metal surface area large enough to be detected by the magnetic loops on the
ground.
For vehicles that cannot be detected by the magnetic loops (metal surface area too small), we strongly
recommend the use of another safety device such as an infrared sensor or an ultrasonic sensor.
If the user chooses not to use safety devices, “La Barrière Automatique” shall under no circumstances
be held liable in the event of uncontrolled closing of the barrier.
The barrier must be controlled by electrical power only.
2.2
Non-compliant use of barriers
Non-compliant use of the barrier may result in hazardous situations and risks of
serious injuries.
All of the following uses are considered as non-compliant:
► Regulating the traffic of pedestrians, bicycles and/or animals
► Using the barriers for level crossings
► Connecting or assembling accessories without prior approval by “La Barrière Automatique”
► Any other use other than those described in the compliant uses section
Any request for damages whatsoever following non-compliant use of the barrier will be refused.
The user of the barrier is solely liable for any damages following non-compliant use.
